Over the upcoming year(s), we look forward to helping you achieve your best in the HSC, whilst making your life a little easier and a lot more enjoyable.

Before taking you to the registration form, here’s some information you may need - please have a browse.

Weekly Lessons

We hold weekly lessons for the subject you’re enrolled into in accordance with your schedule class. Our teaching weeks start on a Monday and end on a Sunday.

  • If a public holiday falls onto a day in our teaching week, we will be running the lesson as usual.

  • When the school term ends on friday, we will still be running classes for the weekend.

Our teaching term runs throughout the school term plus the week prior to term starting in the holidays (we call it Week 0!). Note that not all subjects will run a lesson in Week 0, so if unsure, please check in with us!

Locked Doors

If you arrive and the door on ground floor is locked (as it most likely will be during teaching hours), please access the premises via the student-access door on the second floor.

Teaching Style

As you have experienced, we teach from the ground up, starting with the required theory before covering a wide range of examples (from the foundational basic applications of formulae to the more challenging multi-dimensional examination style questions). Our teaching style is laidback but serious at the same time. We will do our best to make harder concepts easier for you to grasp. But if something confuses you, feel free to stop us at any time during your lesson if you run into any questions. We’re chill like that. But please note that while we certainly enjoy a banter every now and then but please note not to be disruptive while your tutor is teaching.

Content is also delivered in a timeframe that allows you to learn at a comfortable pace while keeping you ahead of your school schedule! For this reason, it’s important for you to know where you’re up to at school and what topics you’ll be covering next so that you can update us when we ask.

Course Notes + Workbooks

We have invested tens of thousands of hours curating our learning material and developing our online learning platform, HSC101. Our resources are the most comprehensive package you will find anywhere.

Our professionally-developed course notes (blue cover) outline all the required theory, along with a wide range of examples. This is where you write your notes in class so that you are able to keep everything you need in one place. We want this to be the first place you look when you’re revising or get stuck on something at home.

The content in our course notes may be divided into levels. Examples are categorised as either [Level 1], [Level 2], [Level 3] or [Level 4].

  • [Level 1] are foundational questions. These questions typically require the most basic application of formulae.

  • [Level 2] are development questions.

  • [Level 3] questions are more challenging questions.

  • [Level 4] questions are relatable questions that are not within the scope of the syllabus. Sometimes they are shown to help scholars further their understanding.

Our workbooks (pink cover) contain our carefully curated collection of challenging problems for you to work on to help you go that extra mile.

HSC101

HSC101 is an awesome, easy-to-use platform that allows us to share our world-class educational content with you. The platform hosts all our learning videos and our online homework system.

We will text you your login details after we create your account, usually within 24 hours of you completing your registration form.

You can access HSC101 via the link https://hsc101.mobius.cloud/login. A quick link can also be found in the footer of the EIM site.

Here’s a tour of HSC101:

Our online homework system is capable of reading natural maths input. But in order for it to work, you need to first learn how to input your answer in. Feel free to play around with it and ask us if you run into any problems. The online practice sets can be booted up whenever you want to work on a weak area in your study or want to revise. If you find a particular workbook to be bit challenging, it’s a good idea to attempt the relevant online practice set first to build up your skills and confidence.

Homework Policy

There's no shortcut to learning. We try to make things as fun and exciting as possible and we actively work on our teaching skills to ensure that we are capable of making difficult concepts easier for you to understand. Even then, the knowledge that is bestowed upon you is not truly yours until you internalise it. This requires practice.

After every lesson, your tutor will designate homework to complete. We understand that everyone feels differently about homework but we wholeheartedly recommend that you complete them weekly.

We quiz regularly to track your progress. If you perform poorly in your quiz and your homework isn't attempted or completed to a satisfactory level, we will make certain practices compulsory for you to complete to help you suck less.

A progress card that outlines homework effort, quiz performance, content mastery and predicted HSC performance will be issued at the end of every term*.
