Enrolment, fees, lesson and support — and if you’re missing anything, just ask. We will get back to you as quick as we can!

Enrolment and Free Trials

  • Start by filling out the enquiry form on our Contact page to register your interest. We'll be in touch to arrange a free trial in the subject you're after, so you can experience our teaching with no commitment. If you find us to be a good fit, we’ll run through a quick registration to collect your details and invoice you for the remaining lessons in the term, billed pro-rata. Note that free trials are not available for one-on-one sessions.

  • Your first group lesson is on us. You'll sit in on a real class, meet your tutor and see exactly how we teach before deciding whether to enrol — with nothing to pay up front. It’s completely risk-free!

  • Absolutely — you can join any time. If you've missed earlier topics, we can help you catch up. We'll provide the materials for the topics you’ve missed, and where an online course exists, you'll get complimentary HSC101 access to stream those lessons. Your tutor is always happy to fill in any gaps.

  • Yes. Alongside our small group classes, we offer private one-on-one sessions for students who'd like more individual support, charged at $80 per hour. Get in touch to check availability.

  • No — all course materials are included. You'll receive a comprehensive set of course notes and workbooks covering every part of the course, plus HSC101 access for relevant subjects.

Fees and Discounts

  • Prices for our regular timetabled group classes (before any discounts) are listed below. We bill on a termly basis.

    • Year 7 & 8 Mathematics — $30 per lesson (1.5 hours)

    • Year 9 & 10 Mathematics — $70 per lesson (2 hours)

    • Year 11 & 12 Mathematics Advanced & Extension 1 — $100 per lesson (2.5 hours)

    • Year 12 Mathematics Extension 2 — $120 per lesson (3 hours)

    • Year 11 & 12 Physics & Chemistry — $80 per lesson (2 hours)

    • One-on-one (private) — $80 per hour (subject to availability)

  • We don’t think quality education should be the sole privilege of those who can afford it. Our Year 11–12 group classes cost no more than $40/hour, Year 9–10 no more than $35/hour, and Years 7–8 no more than $20/hour. We think that’s exceptional value!

  • We offer several ways to save on face-to-face lessons:

    • Loyalty — a $5 per lesson saving once you've been with us for more than a term. Applicable for all mathematics courses, except Year 7-8 Mathematics.

    • Multiple subjects — 5% off your second subject, 10% off your third, and so on.

    • Yearly — pay for the full year and save 10% on your invoice total.

  • If there are multiple siblings concurrently enrolled, group classes will be treated as multiple subjects and the multiple subject discounts will apply — 5% off your second subject, 10% off your third, and so on.

  • We bill on a termly basis. For new students, we'll send an invoice within a week of enrolment — only for the remaining number of lessons in the term after your free trial. Pay by bank transfer (EFT), cheque or cash. Once you're enrolled, we invoice at the end of each term for the term ahead.

Classes and Timetable

  • Our teaching term follows the NSW school term, with an early-start week before the term begins “Week 0” for Year 11-12 students. Our teaching weeks run Monday to Sunday.

  • We run classes seven days a week through the term. Please consult our timetable for available class times. Also note that if your scheduled class time falls on a public holiday, we will be open and the class will run as per usual.

  • Our group classes are capped at 12 students – but most classes average 6 students so there's always plenty of individual attention. Prefer fully tailored help? Ask about one-on-one sessions.

  • We don’t run regular classes during the school holidays, with two exceptions: senior Year 11–12 classes start a week early (our “Week 0”), and Year 12 trial-prep classes continue through the Term 2–3 break with no holiday gap.

    From time to time we offer short holiday workshops on specific topics, plus special AMC problem-solving programs for our junior students.

  • Quite possibly! If our current timetable doesn't work for you, we may be able to start a class at a time that suits your group, subject to availability. Get in touch and we'll see what we can arrange.

  • If you cannot make a lesson due to unforeseen situations or if you are unwell (please stay at home and rest), let us know in advance. We will set aside your material, and where an online course is available, you can keep up through our online courses on HSC101. If no online course is available, we will record the missed lesson for you. Your tutor will help you with any questions that may arise after you have reviewed the missed lesson’s content.

Support outside Class

  • Loads. Browse our large catalogue of online video lessons on HSC101 (for Maths), and just ask whenever you’d like extra practice or revision. Need a hand? Your tutor is reachable outside lesson hours by text or email. Whether it's our coursework, your schoolwork or assessment prep, we're always happy to help.

  • We track every student's progress through quizzes and homework, recorded internally so we can pinpoint where more work is needed. You're welcome to request a summary each term, and we're happy to arrange a parent-teacher chat on request.

Online Courses (HSC101)

  • HSC101 is our online learning platform: concise, structured video lessons with worked examples and guided problem-solving, available 24/7 so you can get ahead, catch up or revise at your own pace.

  • HSC101 currently covers Mathematics — Year 9–10 Maths and Year 11–12 Mathematics Advanced, Extension 1 and Extension 2, with more on the way.

  • Yes — HSC101 is free for every EIM student enrolled in a relevant Maths subject.

  • Both follow the same NESA syllabus — the difference is how you learn.

    Face-to-face is our core offering: live teaching at a set weekly time, a tutor in the room, small-group discussion. It includes printed workbooks and personalised student feedback. It’s best if you want regular structured lessons, answers in the moment and accountability that keeps you on track.

    HSC101 is our online platform. For enrolled students it’s a free companion — revise a tough topic, get ahead or catch up, 24/7. It’s also a complete standalone course: if you’re outside our area, can’t make our class times, or you’re self-motivated and keen to accelerate or learn topics in your own order, HSC101 gives you the full set of video lessons and worked examples at your own pace.

  • Yes, there are some free videos in most online courses for you to preview.

  • If you’re enrolled in a face-to-face subject at EIM, we will create your account for you — your login details are texted to you shortly after you complete your registration.

    If you’d like an online course on its own, head to HSC101 and browse the courses you’re interested in. Clicking on any locked content takes you straight to the purchase page — create your account, complete your purchase, and you’re!

  • Just a device with a web browser and an internet connection — learn at home or on the go, whenever suits you.

  • Access runs for a full year — our structured video lessons and worked examples (the complete theory course). There will be downloadable PDFs for the online courses; but workbooks and personalised student feedback stay part of our face-to-face courses.
